Tbilisi is quite unique in the amount of semi-public shared spaces that can be discovered, a phenomenon that is now rare to find in other cities. More often than not the inhabitants are welcoming, sometimes guests are offered coffee or wine. As gentrification encroaches on what are often dilapidated quarters whilst the architecture may be saved the underlying culture doesn’t survive - these photos serve to memorialise these spaces

Visions of Tbilisi Sea - often Tbilisi Sea gets overlooked, I decided to cast a look at the beauty of how a man-made reservoir has become a natural-feeling part of the Tbilisi landscape.

Javakhashvili Autumn

The area close to Fabrika is also known as “Neu-Tiflis” as the quarter consists of German-built buildings from just over a century ago. The streets of this area are a pleasure to explore with many beautiful examples of art-deco and art-nouveau architecture; lovers of Tbilisi are often fascinated by the doors which at the time of construction were a means for inhabitants to signal their status and wealth. I wanted to capture the leaves at their most golden and I’d checked the forecast which said a big storm was coming that night - this was the last day of Golden Autumn on Javakhashvili Street that year.
